Video of prolo hip rehab

Ok, as promised here's a video of the exercises I did in Phase one of rehabbing the hip.  It's not sexy, but I notice how limited the range of motion is on this.  Gotta start somewhere:

awesome thanks for sharing, is that just ONE exercise you are using? We dont have that machine but a gym I use to work at had one. I could mimic the movement with no weight at first?! HOw is your hip feeling? Did you ever have any swelling in the hip area after prolo?

1) That is actually four exercises I'm doing. I broke them up into two different exercise days. I would do the first two on a "pull" day, where I would work my back/biceps. The second set was done during a "push" day, where I would work on chest and triceps. That would make things a little more entertaining.

2) I'm sure you can do this without weight, it would kind of be like a limited Pilates I guess.

3)My hip is feeling better all the time, thank you for asking.

4)After the first session I had a HUGE amount of swelling going on, but after each session I've had less and less swelling in response to the treatment. I would use heat pads and hot tub soaks to help. Now I can receive a treatment and go to dance class 5 hours later.

Hope this helps.

Also, concerning your question about nutrition, I haven't asked Dr. Hauser anything about that, I figure if I eat a lot of meat and veggies (especially kale) I'll be ok. However, Dr. Hauser does sell supplements, benuts, that are supposed to help. I don't buy them, but I'm sure you can ask him about it through email.

AWesome thanks! Yeah, I had my 3rd PRP and it seems to be swelling a bit after about the 4 week mark, maybe I was walking too much? (2-3 miles a day), but thats all I could really do besides minor things at the gym (like machines, etc)...so Maybe I over did it, but my 2nd session I didnt swell at all...hmmmm makes me think maybe its still in the healing phase.

I had my Massage therapist put some kineso tape on there to get some of the swelling out, seems to be helping a bit, but I'm def in more pain than I have been in the past. I"m not too worried though, I did hear that after PRP the healing can go on for a year?!

YEs, I'm going to start incorporating some of the exercises you showed. ALso, I do the "foundation" workout (well part of it), weekly, and that seems to have helped with any weakness that may go on in my back/core.

THanks again, keep us posted!
